ROBERT DOWDELL, Sales Director

Mr. Dowdell has more than 35 years in technical management in the cosmetics and skin care industries, including quality management of Charles of the Ritz/YSL in the UK and 16 years technical management of The Body Shop International Plc in the UK.  While at BSI, he reported directly to the board and was responsible for product development, quality management and manufacturing management.  His involvement spanned from the company’s early days until it had grown to be a $500 million plus internationally respected manufacturer and retailer of cosmetic and skin care products. Most recently he was technical director of Hawaiian Tropic/Tanning Research Laboratories in Florida, one of the largest manufacturers of OTC sunscreen products in the USA, where he was responsible for the research and development and quality areas.

He currently sits on the International Committee of the CTFA in Washington and is an active member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.

As Sales Director, Mr. Dowdell’s role is to develop the contract manufacturing division of Dermazone Solutions.  With his technical background in the industry, he offers valued clients the added benefit of his involvement in many areas of the business - in particular, research and development and manufacturing.
