MICHAEL W. FOUNTAIN PhD, MBA , Scientific Advisor

Dr. Michael Fountain, PhD., currently serves as a scientific advisor to Dermazone Solutions, Inc and its various divisions including dermaCM. His early research into nano-scale ingredient delivery systems resulted in the patented Lyphazome® nanotechnology, which allows pure, pharmaceutical-grade bioactive and actives to time-release deep within the epidermis over eight hours or more. This nanotechnology sparked Dr. Fountain’s creation of Dermazone’s initial skincare formulas and continues to serve as the key factor differentiating our anti-aging Nanocare™ products from all others on the market today. He currently advises Dermazone Solutions on nanosphere-chemistry and ingredient encapsulation advances, and keeps the team abreast of skincare industry scientific trends.

The founder of Fountain Pharmaceuticals—the precursor to Dermazone Solutions—Dr. Fountain has focused the past 20 years on creating, financing, and growing high technology companies. During this time he has amassed more than 40 domestic and international patents for his inventions and has been honored with numerous awards. In addition, he currently serves the director of entrepreneurial studies and a visiting professor of entrepreneurship for the University of South Florida and as an entrepreneur-in-residence at the Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. Dr. Fountain holds a Doctor of Philosophy in veterinary medicine with a concentration in immunology and a Master of Science in pharmacology from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. He was also rewarded a Master of Business Administration by Bristol University and perused his undergraduate studies in biology and chemistry at Samford University.
